Boy OH Boy!

I photographed this little guy last year when he had just turned one and here we are again at his 2nd birthday!!!  Where oh where does the time go?  He is still just as cute as a bug and was on the move during the entire shoot.  We just let him play and show us the ropes with his Thomas the Train and his soccer ball.  I got some really cute shots of the family just interacting together.  So, without further ado...here's our boy OH boy!

The Turtle Pond

Last weekend, I met this mom and her twin girls down on UT campus so that we could shoot at the turtlepond and use their cool architectural buildings.  Well, little did we know when we planned this shoot a few months ago that it would be the day that record attendance was broken for a UT home football game!  Holy cow!  I'm trying to find parking amongst 101,000 other people, haul my equipment across campus like cattle in a herd and on top of it all I got hounded by some drunk UT students to photograph them b/c they claimed, "They are THE biggest UT football fans of all time!"  Yeah, right!  Join the rest of the other 101,000 people and try to say that.  But, I did stop and photograph them and they were really cute and funny.  I need to dig that photo out and post it on here, too.  The funny thing was they didn't believe that I actually took their photo.  They thought I was just "acting" like I did.  Agh, to be a young, drunk, college student again.  It was entertaining.  Not only was my trip just getting to the shoot entertaining, my girls AT the shoot were so entertaining.  They are the cutest things ever with energy like no other.  I loved how they just wrestled, climbed, crawled and hugged all over their mom.  Without further adoo, here's my entertaining twins at the turtlepond.

And, here's the drunkards...

Cute Little City Slickers!

It is that time of year again, when chaos sets in around Brandi Nellis Photography!  I can't believe fall is here (well, right around the corner for us) and it's time for our holiday sessions.  Here we are again with two of my favorite clients who just keep growing taller and taller on me!  We decided to do some shooting downtown this year with them since we've never done that and as usual they were the BEST  models and we got some super duper shots.  Without further adoo...hereeeee'ssssssssssss the cute, little city slickers!

If You Didn't Like The Beach Before...You Will Now!

I went to the beach a few weeks ago and had a couple of great shoots!  There is nothing better in the world to me than getting to go barefoot in the sand and run through the waves AND photograph people!!!  That is like heaven to me!  This is my girlfriend Tammy who wanted some updated photos of herself and being that Tammy and I became friends when we both lived in the Virgin Islands 20 years ago...well, she too is a huge beach lover so this was like the most appropo place for her shoot.  She's a real sweety inside and out and for all those guys wondering yes, she's single!  :)

Let's Roll The Red Carpet Out...It's That Time Again!

It IS that time of year again, when the Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas rolls out their new calendar for the upcoming year!   It's time for those calendar celebrities to put their best dress on, tie that tie and polish those shoes for it their time to walk the red carpet and feel like a star!  This year they went ahead and put up a beautiful tent over the red carpet b/c they weren't sure what our weather was going to do.  I chose to work the END of the red carpet this year instead of the beginning and as always I had a blast doing so!  It is such a joy to be there and experience this wonderful event.   Every year the local Down Syndrome Association here (DSACT) puts together a yearly calendar to raise revenue for their cause. They always combine a local Down Syndrome child with a celebrity for each month on the calendar and then they have a huge kick off party which is this gala. The children that star in the calendar for the year get the ultimate treatment at the gala. They arrive in limos, the crowd is screaming for them, the paparazzi is there (that's me!)photographing them as well as KVUE News. It is just the cutest thing you have ever seen! Some of the kids are very receptive to the whooping and hollering while others are quite shy by all the attention. Also, this year the photographer who volunteered ALL his time and photographed the entire calendar (which started in February!) is Bill Ledbetter from Image Eclectic Photography.  He did a great job capturing everyone's personalities and putting together another beautiful calendar.  It really is a great cause and if anyone feels moved in purchasing a calendar please click on over to DSACT and get yourself one!
