My Families Rock!

I have to say that the families I have been able to meet and photograph really do ROCK! I have met some of the sweetest, coolest, funniest families all through my work. I really do love my job. Last week while embarking on more of my fall shoots I had the pleasure of photographing the "J's" again. They are so easy going, relaxed and photogenic they make my job easy. We came across this bumper sticker on the side of the building and I told them we had to use it in one of their photos b/c well...let's face it big or small...families rock! Before posting today I decided I better do a little research here and see what this bumper sticker is all about. It's actually quite cool. It's an Austin website where you can browse all the cool things to do as a family in Austin. Check it out: www.familiesrock.com

"Mixing It Up Is Merrier" Shoots Are Underway!

I had a great first week with my family's that signed up for my fall photo special. Here's some really fun shots of another "B" family that I photographed. They were so sweet and the kiddos did a great job. Dad was enticing them with a rolly polly pizza if they did a good job during their photos! Ha!

The B's

So, my Mixing It Up Is Merrier special is under way and we are getting some super shots for Christmas cards and gifts. I have to tell you that the "B's" were ALOT of fun to shoot and frankly people are going to be jealous when they see how great their Christmas card is this year! Ha! They will be the talk of the hood.

Fall Is In The Air

Look at my little honey all decked out in her awesome Halloween gear! I had the pleasure of watching my baby neice for a few days while mommy and daddy went away to celebrate their anniversary. We had so much fun keeping her and of coarse I had mama pack her some photo shoot outfits so we could play! Aunty Bran even managed to put some barretts in her hair!

Share The Passion Gala

I had the opportunity to photograph the Down Syndrom Association of Central Texas Calendar Release Gala a few weeks ago. What a great night! The children who were photographed in the calendar arrive by limo and walk the red carpet to shine like a star. The Biscuit Brothers were there to perform and entertain the kids along with yummy food and drink. All of this took place at Art on 5th...a cool art gallery downtown. My best friend that I moved to TX with has a little girl, Lexi, who was featured in the calendar this year. I can't tell you how much my family loves this little girl. She is super cute, funny, independent, loveable and so much more! Did you know that over 90% of women abort their baby when they find out it will have Down Syndrome? I found this statistic unbelievable. These children lead incredibly normal lives. DSACT is working to make people more aware of what great human being children with Down Syndrome really are. If you'd like to support this great cause, you can purchase a 2009 calendar at www.dsact.com.
This year's calendar has a couple hotties supporting their cause...Brad Pitt AND Brad Womack!

My Fall Photo Special!

Hey everyone, I'm offering my "Mixing It Up Is Merrier" special again. $50 for a 30 minute mini photo session! This year there are a few twists. I'm offering ALOT more slots during the late afternoon week days in late September to accomadate more families and a couple new interesting locations as well. I'll be posting proofs in a secure online gallery for viewing and ordering. My deadline for ordering is November 15th this year. I know it seems early but this allows time for both of us to be more organized this year with our holiday festivities. This is a great time to get some good family shots for your Christmas cards and gifts. Check out some of my new Christmas cards, too (just scroll down a bit)! They're really colorful and cute.

Back to School

It seems hard to believe that it's time for school again. While I love summer probably more than the average person, I have to say I like getting back into a regular routine during the school year. My baby started the 2nd grade and all you moms out there know that it just seems like yesterday we were bringing them home from the hospital. I did get a bit teary eyed yesterday after I dropped Slobo off BUT not for long...I was off like a mad woman conquering the running errands world. I vacuumed the car, went to the carwash, bank, Walgreens, 2 Wal-Marts, Target and Toys R Us. Whew! This goes out to all the mamas out there sending their babies to school on their first day. Oh, Sloan wants to know how many compliments he has gotten so leave him a comment! :)
