Calling All High School Seniors!!!

It's that time of year for all you high school seniors to start thinking about your senior photos. Are you tired of the same ol' cap and gown shots and stuffy studio stuff? Then, I'm your girl! We will go on location around Austin and find cool and colorful places and things for your photos. I like to work the shoot to suit you and your personality so we'll incorporate that as well. Give me a call and we'll get you some fresh, stylish photos for your senior shoot. Check out the sample slideshow below to get a small taste of what your shoot could be like.

Future Longhorns

Check out these two adorable, sweet puffs of joy. These two babies are not siblings... they are best friends already! Their moms found out on the exact same day that they were both pregnant and now they will have this whole growing up process together. Both families are die hard UT Longhorn fans so no doubt there would be some Longhorn gear involved in the shoot. Baby Caylee was VERY upset in her Longhorn gear and they said it was b/c she knew that it was Colt McCoy's last year.

The Whitmires

The Whitmire's wanted to do their shoot at their lake house and I'm so glad that we did. It was casual and fun and the lake always has a good vibe to it. I absolutely LOVED their paddle boat and the shots that we got! Their girls did a great job modeling and had their "rockstar" poses down to a tee. They even managed to get the dog to raise her paws in the air...very cute.

Our New Mexico Challenge

My son and I loaded up the ol' minivan and headed west...northwest. Our friends moved to Albuquerque back in May so we decided to visit them. The thought of a road trip is always fun in the beginning stages...the excitement of seeing new territory, going some where that you've never been before, a sense of freedom by leaving all your worries behind and then about 5 hours into the trip reality hits. You realize you're not even half way there! Oh, and if anyone out there thinks that we've used up all the land in the US then take a drive up HWY 285 and you won't see a damn thing for 135 miles...not a gas station, not a single house, barely another car! Sloan and I did have a lot of fun though. We visited with our friends, went to the Albuquerque Zoo, went to the Hot Air Balloon Museum (so neat), went to the movies, walked their dog, met some of their neighbors and made s'mores. Yum. Oh, and I can't forget our detour on our way home, we stopped in Roswell at the UFO museum. Oooohwweeeoooh! The last photo was in the bathroom stall at the museum and it really freaked me out.

Out Of The Office

I will be out of the office from Friday, August 7th through Tuesday August 11th. Sloan and I are road tripping to Albuquerque, NM to visit some friends. Pray that my van doesn't break down b/c we're driving through Roswell...ooohweeeooooh!

A Change Is Coming!

As of August 15th, 2009 there will be an increase in my "Sassy Shoot" sitting fee. It will be $150 weekdays and $175 for Saturdays. Anyone who books a shoot before 8-15-09 (even if the shoot is scheduled for the fall) will still get the old pricing. I hope everyone understands that I have not had a price increase in several years and that I've been working hard to stay current with digital photography by investing in hands on workshops, seminars and extensive training. I've reinvested into my company by getting newer and better equipment to give my clients better and sharper photos. Lastly, I'd like everyone to know that I average minimum 10 hours of work per photo shoot b/c I am giving my clients retouched proofs in their proof book. You do the math! I could be making more at McDonald's but since I love what I do so much I'm going to keep at it. Thanks to everyone who has helped me grow my business. I truly appreciate and am ready for you to B N THE PHOTO!!!

Bridal Shoot Demo

I still like to photograph a wedding every now and then and thought I'd post this bridal demo that I made recently. It's kind of edgy and different...just like me! Imagine that. Hmmm, now that I think about it I don't know if I'm really considered "edgy" but I am different! I know that much for sure. :) Turn your volume up b/c this has a really catchy tune. For those of you wondering what the bride's tattoo says on the deer head banner... it's "Pops". Ha!
