Hi all! Here's this years holiday cards! WOOHOO!!! We are bringing color back...FINALLY! The past few years designs have been mainly muted colors (which is fine) but I always enjoy receiving and sending a bright, cherrful Christmas cards to all my friends and family. These are 5x7 2 Sided Cardstock cards. You can make these even more special by having me print them on linen, pearl or potato paper. The pearl just gives everything a little shimmer. The potato paper feels like butter!

Downtown Austin Senior | Zac | Bowie High School

Zac knocked it out of the ball park with his senior shoot. He showed up with a great attitude and didn't give his mom any flack during the shoot. :) The weather was absolutely perfect and the leaves at Butler Park have some good color going on right now. We hit the Lamar Street bridge to wrap up his shoot with some skyline backgrounds which turned out super cool. Prop your feet up and grab a cold one and enjoy Zac's video.

Holiday Family Shoot | The Holders & Wilsons | Lake Austin

I love this time of year when I get to see The Holders and Wilson families for their annual holiday shoot. Since we missed last year due to Covid, I was in awe how tall the boys had grown since I saw them last! Sheesh! It's kinda insane actually. And, there's a new grand baby Charlie who I hadn't met yet. She's already 2 and cute as a bugs ear. She wasn't sure about the whole big family photo shoot but Grandma got her loosened up, smiling and dancing when she turned on some @DojaCat. LOL! This year the family opted for the red/black checked pattern personalized pj's which I think is such a fun idea! It's great for a large group that doesn't feel like coordinating outfits and wants casual and fun. Lifestyle Family Shoot | The Wylers | Dripping Springs, Texas

Meet this cute family The Wylers from Dripping Springs, TX! I had donated a photo shoot to @Carrying Hope which is a non profit organization here in Austin that makes back packs for children entering into the Foster Care system. A Hope Pack is a backpack or diaper bag filled with comfort items and essentials intended to help ease the transition for children who are entering a new foster home. Our goal is to offer items that a child entering foster care would either need or could find comfort in during those first 48 hours in care — you would be amazed what a fresh pair of jammies and a soft teddy bear can do for a child in crisis. Hope Packs also allow foster parents to focus solely on a child in those first crucial hours and days instead of rushing out to the store.

Lifestyle Sibling Shoot | Bali & Dylan | Brushy Creek Park

Here we go again...another year around the sun and these two just keep getting prettier and more handsome by the year. I have been photographing Bali and Dylan since Dylan was a newborn! What the what?! So naturally, I had to take a walk down memory lane and look up one of our old photo shoots from when they were little. This particular shoot was at a pinata shop off of East Cesar Chavez (before it was trendy). What can I say? I've always been ahead of my time when it came to scouting locations. :) They were 3 and 5 years old here and I have to say quite squeezable!

Now, they're both in high school and growing like weeds every time I see them! The name and age tee shirts have been a tradition since they were 3 and 5 years old. We joked at this shoot that their mom is going to be making them wear their name/age shirts at 35 years old with their kids in name/age shirts. LOL! They were mortified just thinking about it. Oh, here we are a few years later after I photographed their wedding and now coming soon is Baby McMahon! I'm so excited for them. I always love this time of year because everyone is ready to get their family photos updated in preparation for Christmas cards and gifts. I love it because I get to catch up with family's that I haven't seen in a year or two and see how much the kids have grown. It's been two years since I've seen this family but the kids have turned into teenagers in those two years! We opted to stay close to home this time and utilize our beautiful nearby park. ATX Lifestyle Senior Photo Shoot | Jordan | Bowie High School

Goodness...Jordan is a real beauty. I was motivated creatively while photographing her because of her pink, flowy long dress that she showed up in mixed with our forest scene on the giant fallen tree log mixed with her yellow hazel eyes and some soft natural lighting. These are the days that I love being a photographer when everything seems to fall into place. It's not always like that but this particular day it was. We had some serious humidity but I'll let that one thing go. We moved onto @Plaza Columbian next for a yummy coffee and a location filled with pops of color. It looks like we made a bee line to Mexico for this part of the shoot (I wish!) but we were right in the heart of Austin. Those sandals! Jordan rocked her outfit with a pop of neon pink heels which was perfect for our tropical destination. Then, we ended the shoot with some neutral, gray concrete walls that finished out the shoot with a bang. Grab yourself a chai latte and kick back and enjoy Jordan's video.

ATX Lifestyle Senior Shoot | Luke | Bowie High School

Let's hear it for the boy! Luke killed it. He showed up with a great attitude and gave it a 110% and we got some great photos of him to commemorate his senior year. I love the river bed shots and his brown and black plaid shirt looks so good mixed in with the nature. We had to add a pop of red from the storage container to honor those Bowie Bulldog colors! Luke is off to college after his senior year and wants to study medicine. Let's all wish him the best of luck because we definitely need people who still want to study medicine after this past year! Another year around the sun and another fun photo shoot with one of my favorite families...the Fletchers! The boys are growing up SO fast and they are still hysterical. We opted to shoot at the Sekrit Theater this year which I was super excited about because I've seen photos of this place but had never had a shoot there. It is definitely a slice of old Austin with an eclectic flair and a great mish mash of all sorts of different photo opportunities to take advantage of. The glass green house though was by far the coolest! They rocked their champagne and navy color palette and the boys looked dapper as ever. A Texas Beauty | Aine | Senior 2022 Bowie High School

I have been photographing Aine and her family since she was a little girl. Recently, I've been starting alot of my blog posts like that which is making me think Dang...I'm old! In fact, let's just take a stroll down memory lane to prove it. This is one of my favorite shoots with this family around their pool. I'm not sure how old she is here maybe 10 yrs old?

Now, here she is rolling into her senior year like a rockstar. She did an amazing job modeling and working her poses like a pro. While we photographed her on the dock, she was even a good sport and laughed it off when some paddle boarders paddled by mooning us like old Austin hippies would do. LOL. Friday Night Lights | Tyler Senior 2022 | Wimberley High School

Let's all give Tyler a big welcome to Texas y'all! He just moved to Wimberley to finish out his senior year and I'm pretty sure he's got all the girls in a flitter. In fact, during our photo shoot a couple girls drove by and yelled, "Oh my gosh, that's Tyler...hiiiiiiii Tyler!!!" Being from a small town, I told him I remembered how exciting it was when a new kid moved to our school. We ALL knew when a new kid rolled into town b/c we rarely had new people come to our school! :) It was great fun for me as well getting to do another photo shoot in Wimberley! It's fun to photograph in new and different places. We photographed Tyler around the Blue Hole area which had some amazing trees, wooden fences and good textures! His blue truck was an amazing pop of color and Mama did a great job working the key fob to get the orange lights to come on during the photos. LOL! Of course, we had to hit the football field for some shots in his football jersey and get those Texas Friday night lights photos! This guy showed up for his senior shoot looking SO dapper! He was killin' it with his stylish outfits. You know I was in love with his tropical shirts. We found a beautiful swimming hole in Driftwood that made a great backdrop for his toucan shirt and green shorts AND also represented his love for swimming on the high school swim team. I know it looks like we're in Jamaica but we're in beautiful Texas. :) Next, we had to hightail it over to a local food trailer park where we could have some good color to showcase his beachy button down. We used the cute pink food trailer @WhamBam for an awesome backdrop to accentuate that palm tree shirt. Oh, I used to change this one's diapers when he was a baby! I'd help his mama out sometimes and baby sit him when they needed help. His mama Lori and I are sorority sisters from Mizzou and then moved to Texas together many years ago when we were young, single and fancy free! Now, we're old (jk!) and my baby is in college and hers is about to be! It's hard to believe but Jack's a senior this year at Wimberley HS and ready to take on his last year and make it the best yet. He's the kicker for the football team there so we finished his photo shoot down at the fb field. When you see his photos, you'll see why I was torn on what song to use for his video b/c I could've used "Boys of Summer" by Kenny Chesney OR I could've titled it "Friday Night Lights", too. Anyway you slice it, he's one handsome dude and he rocked his senior shoot and was a great sport while Lori and I drug him all around Wimberley. :))) Grab your protein smoothie and a bar and kick back and enjoy Jack's video.
