A little Sneak Peek of Photos of Monica & Oleh's Wedding...last Thursday night!
Oh what a night! I was sweating bullets about our weather for the day. I woke up to huge thunderstorms but as the day progressed the sun peeked out and gave us a beautiful day and sunset. I always enjoy documenting the getting ready process of a wedding so I met them at their hill country get away where they were staying for the weekend. There's always a hustle and bustle of people scurrying around finishing up the last minute to do's, a bit of stress in the air, a lot of excitement and anticipation and I enjoy watching the final details come together. Once we arrived at the venue, Monica and Oleh mingled with their guests before the ceremony while we waited for the sun to drop and the light to soften. The bagpiper played loudly to cue the guests that it was time to move toward the chapel and the wedding ceremony was one of the most creative I've ever seen. The chapel was an open air chapel overlooking the hill country and Monica walked herself toward the chapel and down the aisle. At the beginning of the ceremony, the rings were passed around to every friend and family member so each person could bless them, they wrote and recited their own vows to each other which were so moving and special. Their children were included in the ceremony and after they were announced husband and wife they invited all their guests to sing along together to the Beatles song "All You Need Is Love". Flower petals were thrown as they ran down the aisle and arms were raised with joy...and they lived happily ever after! Congratulations you two and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day and documenting the memories.
The Rowleys Get Messy!
This was such a clever idea that Haley had! She wanted to do a "messy" shoot with the kids and so we brainstormed and she went out shopping and bought the goods for the shoot. I couldn't be more pleased with how the entire shoot turned out. Matt is leaving for Afganistan again for 9 months and she wanted some fun, happy photos with him and the kiddos. I think we did it! Grab a drink, kick back and watch the happy begin!

Happy Easter!
Here's a few pics from our Easter celebration. The teenage boys are droopy dogs and too cool for the egg hunt anymore but then we've got Miss A who is 8 years old and is more competitive now than ever.
It's funny you can see her ripping past the boys in the pics with her hair flying behind her trying to get more eggs than anyone else. My son was motivated at his early morning egg hunt at our house where the Easter bunny hid only one "Golden Egg" and it was not easy to find. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday and feel as blessed as I do that Jesus died for our sins. Hallejuiah!
