More UT-DSACT photos

It's been a little crazy around here lately but I was finally able to work on the photos from a few weeks ago when I went to the UT Longhorn football practice. I don't have all the exact details of the story but the jist of it is that apparently one of the UT players used the word "retarded" in an interview. The Down Syndrome Association is trying to stomp out the use of the "R" word so they set up this meeting to talk to the UT players about setting an example and not using the "R" word anymore. The team seemed very receptive to what was being said and Jack (boy in maroon shirt) gave a great little speech about how his feelings get hurt when people use the word "retarded". I was the lucky one who got to go along to the practice and document the meeting and practice. It was very fun and just a surreal experience. As I was standing down on the turf looking up at the huge Memorial stadium, I thought to myself when in my life did I ever think I'd be at a UT practice down on the turf? Then I had to whip out my MIZZOU hat and get a pic of myself! :) Once a Tiger always a Tiger (even if your team's not that hot).

The "G" Family

Here's a few fun shots from my shoot with the Goldwassers a few weeks ago. Check it out!

Sugar Beans Part 2

A few weeks ago, I photographed this sweet family and with an uncooperative 2 year old and horrible weather we decided a "Part 2" to the photoshoot may be just what we needed. It was just what we needed! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the 2 year old was ready to be photographed. Check out a few shots from their shoot.

Puffle's 1st Trip to a Fall Festival

We have a new family member named "Puffle". For all you Club Penguin fans out there you know exactly what I'm talking about. We acquired Puffle last Friday night when Sloanie Bologne scored 2 soccer goals for his team...mind you they were the first goals of the season so we celebrated with a trip to Target. We were so thrilled. We parents act like our boys are playing for some sort of national championship when in fact we're just thrilled when they get the ball down the field. So, we had our family fall festival outing and Puffle joined us. He had a great time posing with the pumkins, playing tether ball, boating in the field and taking a hayride. Yeeha!

The Count & The Sparrow

Every spring and fall I photograph these brothers and they are hoots! They opted for their tye-dye shirts and yellow rain jackets this fall. The rain jackets were perfect since we were kind of getting misted on the entire shoot. I love the way the shirts pop off of the colored walls...so cool! Oh, and if you're wondering about the title of this post...it's their Halloween costumes! I can ALWAYS count on them to be super original with their costumes. :)

The "H" Family

I've been a busy beaver editing and retouching photos trying to stay caught up with everyone's shoots. Last Saturday, I photographed this family downtown and I had a great time working the alley ways in. Unfortunately, one of the kiddos wasn't feeling well during the shoot but he rocked it out for us and managed to participate in almost the whole shoot. Regardless, I think there are some really great shots.
