Baby Hoppy Officially Adopted!!! Yeah!
Yesterday, my BFF (that I moved to TX) with 13 years ago finally got to adopt her son. There was a large group of us that were there to show support of how happy we are for them. Baby Hoppy is so blessed to have been given this family. He came into their home when he was 3 days old and they have been chomping at the bit ever since to get the adoption finalized. He is such a sweet, lovable baby and we all love him so much. Isn't he a handsome little devil? I've got to say my friends have some pretty CUTE kids...but of coarse mine is cuter! Ha!
Cutie Patooties
I have so many great shots from alot of my fall shoots that I didn't have time to post due to the busyness of the holiday season. I'm in the processing of getting some of these images on my website as well as posting some on my blog so you all can see. Aren't these two adorable? They had these really hip outfits they wore the first half of the shoot given to them from their Aunt in Toronto and the last half mom just dressed them in simple jeans and plain shirts but busted out these adorable hats she found on Etsy! This is a great example of how hats are a wonderful accessory to work into your photo shoot.

Helloooooooooooooo 2009!
So, I haven't blogged in so long that I forgot my user name and password. Here we are in a new year with new hopes and dreams. I've taken lots of great photos through the holiday season and didn't get to blog alot of them so I will be posting some of those for fun. When I went back to Missouri at Thanksgiving I had the opportunity to photograph Angie for her senior photos. I had fun looking at my hometown through my photography eyes on. I was looking for specific spots we could use for our shoot and I discovered a whole new playground. It really is fun trying to find beauty in the not so obvious places! However, when you have a model like this one it's kind of hard to take a bad shot.

What's Your Holiday Traditions?
Every year we try and load up and hit the Trail of Lights. We've got our routine though. We don't drive down to Zilker and park there. Oh no, we park off of 15th and take the Cap Metro Bus down to the Trail of Lights. It has become part of our ritual. Sloan always got a kick out of riding the city bus and now we keep doing it out of convenience. Now, it's not just the lights that we enjoy...we know that there will be turkey legs and funnel cakes involved! We can't possibly browse all those lights without chowing down on a big ole' turkey leg! This is just one way that gets us in the Christmas spirit. What's some of your family traditions?
