Sweetest Sweet 16 Party Ever!

A few weeks ago, I had the real pleasure of photographing Britley's "Sweet 16" birthday party out at Mandola's Winery. The girls looked so amazingly cute in their flowery sundresses and their Texas cowgirl boots that as a photographer I was in complete heaven! I really don't know what could be any cuter than this. This shoot got me thinking about my "Sweet 16" party that I had and how different things are now. What did you do for your 16th birthday? You've got to watch the video and see the girls in their full modeling mode. They were alot of fun to work with!

The Artist Within

I photographed this cute family before I left on vacation and just didn't have time before I left to work on the photos so I've been anxiously awaiting to see the awesomeness. When they filled out their information form, "M" had marked that they liked to paint and come to find out they are really a family of artists. The dad is an elementary art teacher and their oldest daughter is about to go to a special art school in south Texas so I knew we just had to paint! I honestly can't believe what a great work of art that they whipped out in a mere 15 minutes with 4 people painting on one canvas. They were all plugging away painting, looking out at the landscape to get inspiration...the whole thing was so cool! This was so fun for me since it's something completely different and I had never photographed before...enjoy!

Puddles & A Path

I photographed this family a few years ago and am always amazed at how much the children grow from one shoot to the next! Wow! We met in their neighborhood for convenience and I had gone earlier in the week and scouted out a new location near their home. I just loved it! I found an old bridge with access to the water and it's kind of hidden. I thought I had found a real treasure no one knew about until I went back for my Saturday morning shoot and there were about 10 cars and several kayakers putting their boats in the water. Normally, we're not used to having very much water in our creek beds but this creek is up and running! There were actually mini rapids and they all looked so excited. All you need for a great shoot is a path, some puddles, kiddos and some rocks!

My Latest Magazine Cover

I've been working with the owner of Waterways Magazine to help out with her magazine covers and have been loving every minute of it! This is the summer edition. She is highlighting a certain pool builder out in Lakeway and so our location for the shoot was at a home where they had built this pool. It is FAB-O, too! The pool is so deep on one end they give their children scuba lessons in it. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and then we had Amanda Tatum modeling for us in her coral dress from Saks 5th Avenue. As always, we had a blast shooting the cover! Here's the latest work of art.

Party of Six

Helloooooo blogger world...is anyone out there? Or do I continue to slowly show up here and am writing to myself? Let me know if you're out there! I'm so sorry I keep neglecting you but I do still care! I've got lots of great photo shoots to share... I just haven't had the gumption to post them. Recently, I photographed this adorable family of six and they were just too cute. I loved their outfit choices which were full of color, a touch of pattern and coordinated very well. This is a great example to refer to when trying to figure out clothing choices! Take note peeps! We decided to shoot in their backyard to keep the kids close to home...not a bad view to wake up to every morning, huh? Everything went really well with this shoot and the family was a lot of fun so let me zip it and post a few pics for you to see.

Lindsey Senior 2012

I recently photographed Lindsey for her senior photos and we had so much fun jotting all over town finding cool locations to shoot. She wanted something that said "Austin" and Austinites know there's nothing like an airstream trailer that screams Austin. Lindsey is in the drama club so she was a real natural in front of the camera and did quite well hamming it up for me! Not only do I love to photograph open mouth laughs but there's nothing like a cute, scrunched up nose, too!

New Photos!!! Yeah!

Ok, I'm actually going to stop and post some photos that I recently took. Two posts in one day...shocker! I recently took some headshots for Sovettey and she rocked it! She was so photogenic and just really natural in front of the camera. She made my job so easy. It was a bit chilly outside and she didn't bring a coat so we had to let her warm up in the car between locations. I always like to tell my subjects that modeling is hard work especially when the weather is not that great! Let's hear it for those super models out there! I-YI-YI!

I have fallen off the blogging wagon and can't seem to get back on! I had good intention after the new year and after that one post I fell off again! Is there a 12 step program to get you back on track to blogging? I've had some really funny and interesting stuff happen and I can't believe I haven't shared it. Like when I went to Vegas last month with some girl friends we stalked "The Batchelor" reunion going on at the 1Oak club in one of the casinos and then later were eating "dinner" (at 1am) and got sat next to a table with 5 people from the batchelor...Casey (ugh disgusting), Reed (forgettable) Michelle (pretty in real life too), Jackie and the CRAZY BLOGGER!!! Well, Casey, Reed and Michelle left the table and that left Jackie and Crazy sitting on one side of the booth together so my friends dared me to go over and talk to them. You don't have to ask me twice. I got up and walked over and scootched my big bootie right into their booth with them and said, "Hi!" You should have seen Jackie's face. She looked at me like who the "f" are you? I told her I was (along with all my embarrassed friends over there)a big fan of the show and then asked about their reunion and if Crazy Blogger was really Crazy Blogger. Crazy had her hair up in a bun on top of her head and so it didn't quite look like her but yes, she said she was "the blogger". I'm the one who added the "crazy" onto the front b/c she's nuts. Then, I asked Jackie how she was doing since her and Aimes broke up and she said things were really good for her right now and I told her good b/c we were all worried about her and praying for her! :) I went back to my table and then shortly later Casey (ugh) came back and one of my friends yelled him over and asked to see his tattoo! haha! And, he asked my friend for a hug and she said no but did take a photo with him. What a night! We were worse than damn teenagers that night but I didn't care b/c I had won big at BlackJack right before!!!

Out of the Office

Big Boudoir Event

I have been thinking about setting up a boudoir event after the new year so gals can have some sexy photos taken for their man (or woman) for a great Valentine's Day present. Every year I'm so tired after the holidays it just hasn't worked out UNTIL NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! We are making this happen this year and it's going to be so fun! I've rented a room at the Hyatt Townlake and I've got Angie Armstrong to do hair and makeup so all you have to do is show up with some hot lingerie and we'll work our magic on you! Give me a jingle soon though b/c there are only a limited number of slots available.

Hello world! I fell off the face of the earth through the Christmas season for being super busy so thank you, thank you, thank you to all who continue to support my business and help it grow. Usually when the new year rolls around, I like to take some time off since things slow down and make some new goals for the year HOWEVER this year I've started off the year running full speed ahead! In addition to some exciting things on the work front, I have some fun things with friends already scheduled on the calendar too so I'm feeling pumped having some dangling carrots!
I hope everyone has an especially great 2012!
