Downtown Family Shoot 2024 | The Collins | SOCO

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing The Collins family for the first time. We met on South Congress and took advantage of a few great locations...the twinkling lights by Perla's and the black tile wall at South Congress Hotel. As the shoot transpired, so did the wind! A cool front was moving in and making like a wind tunnel along the street where we were. It looks like I brought the industrial fans to work with me in a few shots but I did not. We took cover within a courtyard there but soon got kicked out by security. Austin can be so "big city" now it makes my heart hurt. They're such a cute family and despite our wind and security guard, we had a great shoot. Grab yourself a peppermint latte, turn the music up and enjoy their sweet video. P.s. Lifestyle Family Shoot | The Fletchers | "The Cranch" Austin, TX

What can I say? I am a boy mom and a photographer who loves to photograph rambunctious little boys with a lot of energy! That is why every year I assign Mama Erika to drink a glass or two of wine before the shoot so she can go with the flow and let the magic happen. This year the boys have discovered bunny ears so if you see random fingers behind heads or shoulders it's because there are bunny ears being made behind mom and dad's heads. There was a lot of laughter (and maybe a few tears shed briefly) but mainly laughter happening all through this shoot. I hope you can feel the happiness in the photos. We're taking a little walk down memory lane with these two. I know I always say that I've watched these kids grow up before my eyes so now I'm going to show you. I dug through the archives and found this shoot from 2014 of Bali and Dylan and wanted to share. Look how CUUUUTE! I can't stand it.

Fast forward 10 years and we've got one in college and one a senior in high school...so see, I'm not lying. In a blink of an eye, these cuties have grown up right before my very eyes. Austin TX High School Senior 2025 Shoot | Maddie | Bowie High School

We photographed Maddie over at Pease Park and it was the most beautiful fall day you could imagine! Thank goodness it was since we had to reschedule our original shoot due to rain. Maddie has had many successful soccer seasons growing up and now she is on her way to play soccer in college. All her hard work is paying off as she heads off to college on scholarship! Naturally, we had to get a few photos of her with a soccer ball and I love how she wore a cute lil' black dress and rocked her cowboy boots with her school jacket! Austin TX Senior High School 2025 Shoot | Samson | Westlake High School

I photographed Samson a few weeks ago and he's just a natural in front of the camera (just like his older brother who I photographed a few years ago). He plays the drums in band so we thought it would be so cool to incorporate that into his shoot. @AviatorNation was nice enough to let us borrow their awesome drum set for a few photos and I just love the vibe happening in them! The photos of him on the vintage couch with the drum set in the background are killing me! SOCO ended up being the perfect backdrop for his shoot. You've got to see his video! ATX High School Senior 2025 Shoot | Ava Rose | Bowie High School

Everything about this photo shoot with Ava was SO fun! Her and her mom had me laughing the whole shoot. I just love how her personality comes out in all her photos. The raised eyebrow is apparently her signature move so we had to document that! She hasn't quite decided yet where she's going to college but the rents are wanting her to keep being a UT Longhorn in the family so only time will tell.
