ATX Lifestyle Family Photo Shoot | Their Backyard | The Dukes

This is my sister's beautiful family! They are always last on the list at Christmas time for their family shoot but somehow we always squeeze it in and pump out some seriously cute Christmas cards for them. This year we wanted to focus on my neice's fabulous reindeer jumper so the rest of the family decided to wear black so Atalie would stand out. We've all been socially distancing from each other (yes, even our family) so we kept it simple and did the shoot right in their back yard. I had the kids get on the swing for a few of their sibling shots but then decided to roll with it and pile the whole family on there and next thing you know everyone's laughing and having fun and we ended up getting some really animated shots of the family. Their dog, Ice Cream does NOT like the click of the camera but for some reason she was a trooper this year and stayed close to the family and smiled in several of the photos. She just kept creeping into the photos. There were some where I literally laughed out loud when editing them because of her smile, stance or appearance in the photos. There's a few where she is peeping around the back of Glenn's knees and I about lost it! It was like she was saying, "Peek a boo!" This year by farrrrrrrrr Ice Cream stole the show at their photo shoot! :)))) Grab your apple cider and some gingerbread cookies and kick back and enjoy the Duke's family Christmas video!

ATX Lifestyle Family Video | The East Side of Austin | The Girous

I've been photographing this family for several years and have watched these kids grow up right before my eyes. I know I say that on every shoot but it's the truth. I about fell over when they got out of the car this year b/c the younger two have had growth spurts since last year! I have so much fun photographing this family and we have a tradition of doing the running shot with the dog year after year. Every year it's just as good as the previous year if not better! This year was no different. You can just see the sheer happiness on their dog's face. He's just so cute! I paired this song titled "Family" by Aloe Blacc with their photos b/c I just love the words and thought it fit perfectly especially since there are three kids. The lyrics say:
And I say, "Oh, don't let go of me" Don't ever leave And yes, I know it's a long road but all I need Is right here next to me My family My family
Isn't this the truth? I think we've all had a wake up call this year and this song is just another reminder that our family's are all that we need. Kick back and relax. Grab some egg nog and a baby quiche and enjoy the Girous video. :)

Hi all! Here's this years holiday cards! WOOHOO!!! We are bringing color back...FINALLY! The past few years designs have been mainly muted colors (which is fine) but I always enjoy receiving and sending a bright, cherrful Christmas cards to all my friends and family. These are 5x7 2 Sided Cardstock cards. You can make these even more special by having me print them on linen, pearl or potato paper. The pearl just gives everything a little shimmer. The potato paper feels like butter!

ATX Lifestyle Family Photo Shoot | The East Side | The Zellners

The Zellners showed up ready for their shoot and wanted something a lil' bit urban. We meandered over to the East Side in Austin and found some sweet spots to do just that. I love how we found some pops of red to accentuate their wine colored outfits and also love how downtown looks from this side of the tracks. The girls gave me some good stuff to work with especially when Kaitlyn started showing us her new "talent" aka twerking that she learned at college. That's what you learn at TX Tech! LOL! It made for some good laughing shots which is also a great stress reliever during a photo shoot. We can never have enough laughter. The Zellners love a holiday and love to decorate so I thought this year I would treat them to a special Christmas video for their family shots.
