Elect Alicia For Bride

Yesterday, I photographed Alicia who is getting married soon and we had a great time. I got so many beautiful shots of her that I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to blog. She wanted to do her shoot at the Capitol because she works for a Texas State Senator and her and her fiance have running political jokes. We pushed the line when we shot inside and we nearly got kicked out when we were photographing her in the press room. She wasn't at the podium but a minute before the secretary next door came running in to tell us to stop b/c we were being video monitored by the "Big Guys" upstairs. Oops!

"Baby J"

My BFF, Jana, is in the process of adopting "Baby J". He arrived at their home when he was just 3 days old. We couldn't resist taking some of my dot-to-dot photos of him. He is soooo adorable and THE best baby you could ever imagine! We love him already and are praying that everything goes well and he remains a part of the Palcer family forever.

Launched my new website!!!

I have spent the last month working on my new website and I finally have it done. Yeah! When I was at my photoworkshop in February we all had to have a website critique and I was dreading mine because I knew that they would probably tell me to scratch the old and start fresh. I had a great mentor, Millie Holloman and yes, she told me that I had some strong images but needed a whole new look. Tye-Dye Twosome

I've had the pleasure of photographing these two brothers every spring and fall for the past few years and our shoots are always fun and interesting. This particular day I happen to be getting a serious stomach bug at the onset of our shoot and managed to weather through an hour of shooting. Needless to say, I wasn't quite sure what in the world I would end up with but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I finally had a chance to go through my images. Their colorful shirts make me smile!

The Varble Family

I got some great images of the Varble family on our recent shoot. Their boys are so cute and they weathered the photoshoot very well considering there was a playscape in their line of sight the entire shoot with lots of screaming kids having a blast.

So, I photographed two little cuties today. They are so funny! They kept me on my toes chasing them around. T is celebrating her 2nd birthday soon and had an oh so fancy dress for her sassy shoot.

Karoake Queen

Ok, so I celebrated my birthday this past weekend with my Missour girls and our Texas husbands. We hit Trudy's for some din-din and then my pick was Austin Karoake. This place is hysterical. It's in the Asian part of Austin. Who knew Austin had an Asian district, right? Well anyway, you go into this karoake joint and order a room...yes, a room. The worker guy walks you down this dark hall with numbered doors and my girlfriend says, "Where have you taken us?" He opens the door and there's this huge half moon, bright yellow, leather booth, 5 tv screens and 2 microphones and that's when you are ready to rock. It was so fun! We sang for 3 hours. Even Chucky Poo (Jana's cop hubby) got into it and sang us some heavy metal Metallica for his choices.
